Five minutes drive in either direction will take you one way along the busy front of Mojácar with many shops and good selection of beach bars and restaurants. The other direction leads to the fishing village of Garrucha with its lovely harbour and numerous fish restaurants and excellent weekly market.

The beach is within easy walking distance and there is an excellent local transport system providing buses to all the local amenities, including the nearby waterpark.

For those of a more active disposition there are numerous watersports available, tennis and squash courts, crown green bowling, scuba diving and horseriding close by.

Further along the coast is the aquapark at Vera and it is also possible to hire a boat for fishing trips.
In Garrucha there is go-karting and available locally quad biking.
There are also several excellent markets on a daily basis.
Further afield is the mini hollywood theme park called Oasys.
