Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) permit UK pension rights to be transferred to a Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS). The QROPS must be in effect as if it were a UK scheme for those members who have been resident in the UK at any time in the previous five tax years.
