Two of the Vera & District Lions well known volunteers are organising a Beauty Pageant for Men Only, YES, you did read that correctly, it is for Men only.
The event will be taking place on Friday March 29th and the Lions are looking for men to take part in the contest to help raise much needed funds for the Lions charity.
All they ask of you guys is to dress as a lady. “All”, my goodness, good luck guys.
There will be people available to assist with makeup on the evening, and if you are looking for costume, then just pop into their charity shop in Turre where they will provide you with a personal shopper.
They will lend you the outfit free of charge and then you can get your friends and family to sponsor you, to help raise the cash they need to help local people.
The event will be hosted by Betty Swollocks, at the fabulous Emerald Isle in Mojácar and is set to be a great night.

There are Lions clubs in over 200 countries in the world with a membership of 1.35 million people. Whilst the Lions Clubs International can reach out across the globe with offers of help it is the role of the Vera and District Lions Club to help local charities and other deserving causes.
No member of the Vera and District Lions Club receives payment in any form. Our work for the community is entirely voluntary.
They organise many fundraising events throughout the year with their showpiece “PARTY in the PARK” which has grown at a rapid rate and gets bigger and better every year. It is an all-day music event held in Vera and is open to all ages for a fun packed day of events. Watch out for more details.
